Info for Guest

In Balestrate, the nearest village, you find supermarkets, all kind of shops and very good pastry shops (we prefer Il Caffé del Golfo where you have to try the little “cannoli”, the most famous sicilian traditional sweet). Most of them are in Via Madonna del Ponte which is the main road of Balestrate.

For bread and biscuits we suggest:

the bakery Cavataio, via Volta 13, Balestrate

the bakery Nanà, via Principe Amedeo 17, Balestrate

At Nanà you can buy the Sfincione, the local pizza with onions.

You can find tasty local fruits and vegetables in all greengrocers of Balestrate.

If you are staying longer and prefer a big supermarket where you can find everything, here the address of a very good one, 15 minutes by car from the house, open 7 days a week from 9 to 21

Conad Superstore Alcamo

If you want to go out for dinner the nicest place is Castellammare del Golfo’s fishing port, where you can find several restaurants and pizzerias in a beautiful location. Here two of them which are normally very good and in a wonderful position.

You can reach the beautiful  sand beach of Balestrate in about 5 minutes following the direction ‘SPIAGGIA’ at the entrance of the village or putting Lungomare Felice D’Anna on your GPS.

But we prefer to drive a bit longer (about 10 minutes) and go to Lido Greg. It’s the same beach but far away from the village, so more quiet and less crowded even in August.

Then of course the wonderful Tonnara di Scopello and La Riserva dello Zingaro (see info below)

Let us know if you are interested in having a boat trip in the Nature Reserve and we’ll help you to organize it.
